Publisher and developer MY.GAMES announced today that it’s launching a winter update for its tactical shooter Warface: Clutch. This update also sees the earlier announced rename being finalized on all platforms. The update kicks off the Northern Lights season featuring new weapons, a renewed battle pass (which is available completely for free) and new PvE, PvP, and Prestige Seasons.
A change for this season is that the game’s battle pass can be bought for in-game currency and does not require a purchase, offering more value for players who prefer the tactical shooter for free. This is one of the changes to the game’s monetization that was announced earlier alongside the new name. Players can earn winter-themed weapons to make sure their arsenal is fully in theme.
On December 13, the Winter Fest will kick off which adds a time-limited mode, map, and event. Players will be playing in King of the Hill which will see them try to seize the crown as the true king of winter on a winter-themed version of the player favorite Trailer Park map. Playing this map and mode will award players with Black Market Coins that can be used to purchase limited-time weapons, cosmetics, charms, and others. Players can also earn Black Market Coins by playing specific PvE Spec Op missions.
There are also some excellent quality-of-life fixes for PvE missions, which now offer cumulative rewards. Finish the mission on the highest difficulty, then also get rewarded with the lower tier rewards which means less time wasted doing things you have already beaten. This is accompanied by three missions getting their difficulties reworked.
Clutch is available via MGlauncher, Steam, Epic Games Store and on PlayStation 4, Xbox and Switch. For more news players
