Welcome Governors! Today we're going to talk about playing with friends - or enemies - in Anno 117: Pax Romana. Whether you want to play PvP with up to three governors, play co-op, or give a mix of the two a spin, here's everything you need to know about multiplayer and co-op in Anno 117: Pax Romana.
Multiplayer Modes
Player vs Player (PvP)
You can compete against up to three other governors in Anno 117: Pax Romana: human or AI-controlled. Choose a mix of friends and AI opponents, secure prime islands before your friends do, form alliances, or engage in naval and land warfare.
Cooperative (Co-op)
You can also play co-op: team up with up to three other human players to govern the same islands together. Players share resources, money, and territories, coordinating roles as they expand. For example, one player can manage Albion while another focuses on Latium, which makes it a great introduction to friends who might be interested in playing with you.
Hybrid Multiplayer
But hey, why not both? Play as a group of four friends against three AI opponents, or, if you're feeling ambitious, large-scale setups like 4v4v4v4 (16 total players) are also possible.
Campaign Co-op
Unlike previous Anno games, Anno 117: Pax Romana allows the main campaign to be played cooperatively with up to three friends - time to divide and conquer.
Game Setup and Flexibility
The setup screen in Anno 117: Pax Romana lets players customize matches freely:
You can also convert an existing single-player save into multiplayer by inviting friends mid-game, or fill empty slots with human players.
Co-op Live Save games
A new 'live save game' system enables seamless co-op progression.
