If you often find yourself setting up the perfect shot of a Leap of Faith against Baghdad’s skyline in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, immortalizing stunts in The Crew Motorfest, or hunting for the ideal aerial view from the back of your Ikran in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, now’s your chance to flex your photomode skills for a shot at glory – and prizes. Ubisoft’s Photomode Contest 2024 kicks off on February 19 and runs until March 4, during which time in-game artists are invited to send in their best and most creative photomode shots from Ubisoft games.
This year’s winners will be selected by a jury of four experts from within and without Ubisoft, including Associate Art Director Amélie Sorel of Ubisoft Montreal, who has directed (and contributed to) the visuals for Ubisoft series including Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, and Rainbow Six; Jonas Cuenin, managing director of Blind Magazine, an online photography publication that tells visual stories from photographers and journalists around the world; Ubisoft Community Manager Shauna Jones, who frequently shares her own in-game captures and works to highlight the photomode community; and Jack Harrison (aka Virtual Tourism), a virtual photographer from England whose in-game photo from Ghost Recon Wildlands was a top-20 winner of the 2022 Ubisoft Photomode competition..
Twenty winners will be chosen, and this year’s top winner will be invited for a tour of the Ubisoft Montreal studio, while the second- and third-place winners will receive a copy of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. All winners will have their work displayed in an exhibition in Montreal, and will receive a selection of prizes including a fine-art print of their winning entry, a
