Twenty-eight years ago, Anno 1602 asked players a simple question: What would you build? Today, the Anno team at Ubisoft Mainz answered with a nine-hour livestream commemorating the Anno Franchise. During Anno Day, fans enjoyed special giveaways, developer Q&As, and watched their favorite content creators play alongside the developers in the Mainz Studio!
The event paid homage to past Anno games and spotlighted upcoming content in Anno 117: Pax Romana.

Prophecies of Ash, Anno Pax Romana’s first gameplay DLC, will be available on April 23.
The trailer for the DLC premiered during Anno Day, along with a one-hour gameplay segment featuring Anno’s creative director, Manuel Reinher. The section showcased the upcoming new island, Cinis – the largest island ever in the Anno series. Players also got a look into the volcano looming underneath the island and its gameplay mechanics (eruption, volcanic winter, bloom phase).
Developed by Ubisoft Mainz, Prophecies of Ash is the first major update for Anno 117: Pax Romana and will challenge how players govern and expand their Roman empires. The DLC brings in several key features alongside the island of Cinis, including a new deity to worship, a resource known as obsidian, and a trader named Ceacilia. Fans of the soundtrack in Anno 117: Pax Romana are in for a special treat! An Anno Vinyl, in collaboration with Laced Records, is now available for purchase. It will include a selection of 35 tracks from the game’s soundtrack.
