Multiple Ubisoft studios around the world are taking part in this year's Green Game Jam, with environmentally themed content being added to games like Riders Republic, Just Dance, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and more.
The Green Game Jam is an annual initiative dedicated to raising awareness of sustainability through in-game activations. It's organized by the Playing for the Planet Alliance, which is facilitated by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), and of which Ubisoft is a founding member. The Green Game Jam is an industry-wide event, with over 50 studios participating this year.
"The Green Game Jam is a timely opportunity for our creative teams to explore how their games can nurture a culture of care for nature and gauge both players' and developers' enthusiasm for this topic," says Arnaud Fayolle, Game Sustainability Project Director. "These activations might be small, but if they resonate with our audiences, they can become seeds that will grow future world-changing games."
