XDefiant Season 2 is well underway, and tomorrow, a new update adds even more fun to the mix with the new Air & Space map and Stellar Strike event. Here's everything you need to know, as well as what to expect with the upcoming 2.3 title update.
Air & Space Map
It's time to take a trip to the museum with XDefiant's new Air & Space map. The arena-style map features a central lane, providing long sightlines ideal for sniper and marksman rifles. The left and right lanes, however, are full of exhibit installations, special alien- and outer-space-themed rooms, and scaffolding, giving those who main SMGs and shotguns a chance to work their short-range magic.
Inspired by The Division 2, the Air & Space map has been lightly adapted to suite the fast-paced needs of XDefiant. Set in the near future, the museum is a bit run down, but is starting to see new life with plant growth and murals on the walls. The team at XDefiant has hidden easter eggs throughout posters on the walls, so be sure to check them out in between blasting opponents with your flamethrower and defending the Occupy zone.
Special Events
XDefiant's first in-game event, Stellar Strike, kicks off on October 17, and will run for three days. Celebrating the launch of the Air & Space map, Stellar Strike will allow players to earn special weapon and character skins - as well as weapon and XP boosters - through Ubisoft Connect Challenges. The store will also feature out-of-this-world astronomical skins, such as the Space Program bundle.
Later this month, a Halloween Event is on its way to spook up your gameplay. Running October 23 through November 5, the Halloween Team Deathmatch playlist will be 3v3 instead of 6v6, and will include the Air & Space, Arena, Pueblito,
