Rainbow Six Mobile’s Operation Gray Phantom is live now, and it’s delivering a new Operator, limited-time modes, special events, and more.
Game Director Olivier Albarracin shares what makes this season so special. “Gray Phantom is a fun season. We’re actually tying some lore into what’s happening, and it’s about Finka. As we know, she grew up near Chernobyl and has radiation sickness, and she’s going to infiltrate a contamination zone. Around mid-season, there’s going to be a big event called Veil Protocol inspired by her backstory.”
The popular Attacker is joining the ranks, revving up gameplay and helping to keep her team’s momentum up. Her nanite-fueled Adrenal Surge ability boosts allies in the heat of combat, giving a quick HP buff, stabilizing aim, and getting teammates out of DBNO. Her presence on the field rewards aggressive, coordinated, and decisive combat, especially for teams that strike quickly and stay on the move.
“We decided to add Finka to spice up gameplay and help Attackers become more offensive,” shares Albarracin. “We’ve seen Defenders trending towards using more traps and less roaming, and Attackers were having some struggles as well. So, adding her is a way for the attacking team to push themselves and become a bit more aggressive.”
Finka Showcase – Week 1
“The community loves 3v3 and 2v2 modes, so we’re regularly bringing them back,” says Albarracin. “For this one, players can try out Finka for free and see if they want to invest in her.”
