Operation System Override is coming to Rainbow Six Siege on June 2. The new season will mark the debut of Ranked 3.0, a fairer, more transparent, and more rewarding version of the competitive heart of Rainbow Six Siege. It will also introduce a brand-new map – Calypso Casino – inspired by the Rainbow Six Vegas games, as well as a remaster for Dokkaebi which transforms her mass spam calls into an explosive malware hack that can destroy a Defender’s phone and damage them directly. The new XK23 assault rifle is coming for free for Dokkaebi, Rauora, and Sens; the Kanal, Outback, and Emerald Plains maps are being modernized; and mouse-and-keyboard support for consoles is coming in a mid-season update.
The Dokkaebi remaster is making headlines this season as her unique ability has been redesigned, renamed, and redeployed: it is now the Jegeo Payload.
The Jegeo Payload can target one Defender per call and uses a targeting system just like Deimos uses for his DeathMark tracker. If you’re targeted, you can tell right away from the ringtone that something is off; this call sounds more urgent and increasingly angry. The targeted Defender will want to dismiss it ASAP, and they can do so more quickly than they could with her previous calls. While those were meant to distract Defenders and clue Attackers in to their positions, the Jegeo Payload is instead running a malicious program to overheat and explode the targeted Defender’s phone.
The explosion instantly deals a sizable chunk of direct damage and starts a small fire right where the target is standing, which will quickly deal more damage if they do not move immediately.
